Bonus Policy

These rules cover Cold Lake Casino players who claim a bonus, free spins or another promotion. They apply from opt-in until the bonus is converted, used up, expired or removed.

Knowing the general rules

  • Bonuses are optional. You never have to take one.
  • Every bonus is paid in Canadian dollars (CAD).
  • Bonus funds sit in a bonus balance, separate from your cash.
  • Cash you deposit yourself is wager-free and follows our normal payment rules.
  • Bonus funds cannot be withdrawn until wagering is complete.

Converting bonus funds

Once wagering is complete, your remaining bonus balance turns into cash you can withdraw.

  • Where an offer limits how much bonus play can be turned into cash, that limit is shown in your account's offer details before you claim.
  • Anything above a stated cap is removed when the bonus converts.
  • Free spins from the welcome offer carry no wagering, so their winnings go straight to cash.

Watching the expiry

  • Each offer has a claim window and a wagering window.
  • You can see both windows in the offer details ahead of claiming.
  • If time runs out before wagering is complete, the remaining bonus balance and winnings made from it are removed.
  • Your deposited cash is not affected by expiry.
  • Unused free spins lapse at the end of their window.

Keeping to the maximum bet

A maximum stake applies to every spin or hand while bonus funds are in play.

  • The limit is listed in the offer details.
  • Bets above the limit can lead to removal of the bonus and winnings made from it.
  • A game may not block an oversized bet, so check your stake before you spin.

Who is eligible

  • Available to players 19+ in Canada, where local law permits.
  • One welcome offer per person, household, payment method and device.
  • Our welcome offer is not available to players in Ontario.

  • We can withhold offers from accounts linked to abuse.

Stopping bonus abuse

Bonuses are for play. We act when someone uses them only to pull out cash. Abuse includes:

  • Multiple accounts or shared details used to claim the same offer twice.
  • Low-risk patterns that cover both sides of a game outcome.
  • Betting above the maximum stake.
  • Playing excluded games to clear wagering.
  • Using another person's payment method.

Where abuse is detected, we cancel the bonus and all winnings generated from it, refund deposited cash once our checks are finished, and may close the account.

Claiming the welcome offer

  • Bonus funds carry 50x wagering.
  • Cash you deposit yourself is wager-free.
  • Wagering contribution for table games is 8%.
  • About 50 slots do not count toward wagering.

Running one bonus at a time

  • Only one bonus runs on your account at once.
  • A new offer starts once the current one is converted, expired or forfeited.
  • Forfeiting removes the bonus balance and winnings made from it. Your cash stays put.

Clearing wagering

Wagering means how much you must bet using bonus funds before they turn into cash. For the welcome offer, it is 50 times the bonus. Each game type counts at its own rate:

  • Slots: count toward wagering, except excluded titles.
  • Excluded slots: about 50 titles count nothing. The list sits in the offer details.
  • Table games: 8% of each bet counts.
  • Other game types: the offer details show the contribution ahead of play.
  • Your progress updates in your account after each settled bet.

Opting in

  • Pick the offer in the cashier or promotions area before you deposit.
  • No opt-in, no bonus. We cannot add it once the deposit is processed.
  • You can cancel a bonus whenever you like. Cancelling removes bonus funds and winnings made from them.
  • Cold Lake Rewards points build as you play. The rewards rules appear in your account.

Changing offers

  • Offers may be changed or cancelled. We post every change on this page with the date it applies from.
  • Bonuses claimed before a change keep the rules they were claimed under.
  • We correct obvious errors in offer amounts.
