How We Handle Your Data
This page covers everyone who visits Cold Lake Casino, opens an account or emails us. It applies to all personal data we hold on you, starting from your first visit and ending when that data is erased.
Collecting your data
- Account information: your username and password, email, date of birth, home address and full name.
- Verification: ID documents, proof of address, and the outcome of checks on your identity, age and location.
- Payments: deposit and withdrawal records, the method used and transaction references. Card details are handled by the payment processor.
- Play: bets, wins, game history, bonus use and any limits you set.
- Technical: your IP address, location signals, browser and device data, and login times.
- Contact: messages sent to support and our replies.
Using your rights
You control your data. Send requests to [email protected].
- Access: request a copy of every piece of personal data we hold on you.
- Correction: request that we update any incorrect or outdated details.
- Deletion: have us erase data we no longer need. Some records must be kept for legal reasons.
- Objection: object to marketing or to certain uses of your data.
Every request gets an identity check before we act on it, and our reply comes by email.
Securing your data
- Data moves over encrypted connections.
- Access to your data is limited to staff and partners whose work requires it.
- Verification documents are stored separately from play data.
- We watch for unusual logins and lock accounts that look compromised.
- Keep your password to yourself and log out on devices other people use.
Keeping minors out
Only players 19 and older can play at Cold Lake Casino, and we never open accounts for anyone younger. If we find an account held by a minor, we shut it down and erase its data, except records Canadian law requires us to keep. See Protecting Minors.
Updating this page
When our services or the law change, we update this page and show the date the new version takes effect. Any change to the way we use your data gets emailed to you first.
Handling cookies
Cookies help the site run and, with your consent, measure use and show offers. Our Cookie Notice lists each type and how to switch them off.
Sharing your data
Each partner receives only the data it needs:
- Payment providers: to handle your deposits and cash-outs.
- Verification services: to check identity, age, location and fraud risk.
- Service providers: hosting, game studios, email delivery and support tools.
- Authorities: where Canadian law requires it, including money laundering rules.
We never sell your data.
Choosing marketing
- We send offers only if you opt in.
- To turn them off, update your account settings, hit unsubscribe in any marketing email, or write to [email protected].
- Account and payment emails still arrive, because they are part of the service.
- No marketing goes to players on self-exclusion or taking a break.
Keeping records
We hold your data for as long as your account is open. After closure, we retain it for the period Canadian law requires for money laundering, tax and dispute records. Once that period ends, we erase it or remove every detail that could identify you.
Using your data
- Opening and running your account.
- Verifying your age, identity and location.
- To process payments and pay out wins.
- To run games, bonuses and Cold Lake Rewards.
- To spot fraud, abuse and risky play.
- To answer your emails.
- To send marketing you have opted into.
Relying on legal grounds
- Contract: to provide the account and games you signed up for.
- Legal duty: to comply with Canadian requirements for age checks, identity checks and anti-money laundering.
- Legitimate interest: keeping the site secure, preventing fraud and fixing problems.
- Consent: the basis for marketing and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw it whenever you want.
Moving data abroad
Some partners store or process data in other countries. We pick partners who protect data to a standard comparable to Canada's and bind them by contract. Data held abroad can be reached by authorities in that country under local law.
